Psychological Evaluation and Testimony

As a consulting psychologist, Dr. Atkins is frequently asked to consult on cases by both prosecution and defense in the criminal arena and by both counsel for plaintiff and defense in the civil arenas.

Case consultation includes:

• Reviewing psychological records/reports, including independent analysis of test data from other professionals

• Conduct collateral interviews

• Gathering, reviewing and summarizing records

• Assisting the attorney in his/her preparation for depositions or trials that involve psychological issues.

• Assisting the attorney in his/her preparation for cross-examination of mental health professionals

• Assisting the attorney in his/her preparation for sentencing, including death penalty mitigation
